YOUR HEALTH & SAFETY REMAIN OUR TOP PRIORITY

Our expeditions are currently operating.

After careful monitoring of the ever-evolving environment around the COVID-19 pandemic, and following guidance from local and national health organizations, our charters are currently available to book.

We follow the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, but are taking additional measures to ensure our cleaning and disinfection process is even more rigorous.  Yacht charters are an exclusive and private gathering for small groups, so the risk of infection can be well controlled when all guests participate in good hygiene, cough etiquette and social distancing.

As of 17 August 2021, the government continues its entry restrictions for national infection control measures:

  • COVID Certificate: People who are fully vaccinated or who have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 6 months, and who can document this with a verifiable COVID-19 certificate that is connected to the EUDCC gateway, will be able to enter Norway freely, regardless of which country they are travelling from.

  • Test Obligation: People who are fully vaccinated, or who have recovered from COVID-19 in the past 6 months and who can document this with a verifiable COVID-19 certificate that is connected to the EU's gateway, do not need to take a test for COVID-19 upon arrival in Norway. Everyone else needs to take a test at the border. This also applies to Norwegian citizens, travellers arriving from green countries/areas, and children under the age of 12.

  • Entry Registration:  People arriving in Norway from countries/areas that are subject to a duty to quarantine must register before crossing the border. This also applies to Norwegian citizens, but not to people who are fully vaccinated and people who have recovered from COVID-19 during the past 6 months. Travellers must complete their registration prior to their arrival in Norway and may only register their journey in the 72 hours before their time of arrival.

  • Quarantine: All arriving travellers to Norway must quarantine at a suitable location or quarantine hotel. There is an exemption from travel quarantine for people who have only visited areas/countries with a low rate of infection in the EEA/Schengen area and the UK (‘green’ areas/countries, i.e. countries with fewer than 25 cases per 100 000 inhabitants during the past 2 weeks and fewer than 4% positive tests) and for people who are fully vaccinated and people who have recovered from COVID-19 during the past 6 months. This must be documented with a verifiable COVID-19 certificate that is connected to the EUDCC gateway.

Please notice that both national and local rules and regulations related to the coronavirus and traveling in Norway change frequently and on short notice. • All expedition guests are required to be fully vaccinated.

  • All day cruise guests will have their temperature taken upon boarding and are required to wear face masks.

  • People who are sick should stay home.

  • We have placed several posters on board to remind the guests and crew of the guidelines provided by the FHI which includes good hand hygiene, cough etiquette, and keeping a distance of at least 1 meter.

  • We thoroughly clean and and treat all reusable items onboard including sheets, kitchenware, thermal suits and towels with FHI recommended cleaning solutions and procedures.

  • All crew are required to use masks, disposable gloves and hand sanitizer.

  • We have extremely high standards regarding ship cleanliness and ensuring these standards are maintained to the highest degree.  We are frequently sanitizing all surfaces throughout the boat.  The vessel will be sanitized between charters.

  • WSE reserves the right to turn away guests who are showing symptoms or do not have a negative test result.

ADJUSTMENTS TO OUR BOOKING POLICIES TO GIVE YOU EXTRA PEACE OF MIND.

  • If you are affected by coronavirus, quarantine or actions or regulations of Government regarding travel, you can change the date of your charter to any available date within 12 months of the original departure date with no additional fees.  Documentation of these circumstances are required via e-mail.  The balance will be due in two equal parts, the first being half way between the original start date and the rescheduled start date, and the second being 2 weeks prior to the rescheduled start date.

  • If you are affected by coronavirus, quarantine or actions or regulations of Government regarding travel, and you choose to cancel your charter rather than defer it to a later date, we will simply retain your deposit and the payment of your balance will no longer be enforced as stated in the booking terms.  Documentation of these circumstances are required via e-mail.
