Charter Overview
Our Bergen Yacht Charter is a private 3- or 4-day charter aboard Stella Oceana, a 34-meter motor-sailer yacht for up to 8 overnight guests. Your group has the yacht to yourselves, departing from and returning to Bergen to explore the fjords around Osterøy, including Mostraumen and Mo. The charter is available from late June to late July.
The 3-day charter includes 2 nights aboard, a guided fjord hike, the Mostraumen passage and stand-up paddle boarding in a sheltered anchorage. The 4-day charter adds a Voss excursion: e-mountain biking, zip-lining, or a gondola ride and hike. Both include onboard meals tailored to your preferences, a professional crew, the hot tub and private transfers from Bergen Airport or a hotel in Bergen to the yacht. The 4-day option also includes private round-trip transport to Voss. The whole-yacht price is NOK 490,000 for 3 days or NOK 610,000 for 4 days.

Why Osterøy, and why late June to late July
Norway’s best-known fjords draw the biggest crowds. This charter explores a different stretch of the western fjords: Osterøy, just northeast of Bergen. Osterøy is Northern Europe’s largest inland island. Its waterways—Osterfjorden, Sørfjorden and the narrow Mostraumen passage—lead into a lesser known part of the Bergen fjords, where steep mountain cliffs, waterfalls and small settlements shape the view from the water. Mostraumen’s narrow passage is explored only by smaller vessels rather than large cruise ships. Aboard Stella Oceana, your group can spend several days in the area, with time to go ashore and experience the peace and quiet of the fjords.
We operate this charter from late June to late July, when Bergen region is typically mild and the long summer days leave more time for fjord cruising, hiking and paddle boarding. It’s a strong season for combining time on the water with outdoor activities, including the Voss excursion on the four-day charter. Summer weather can still bring rain and wind, so the Captain may adjust the plan to conditions.

Day 1: Embarkation in Bergen
Welcome onboard at 12:00, safety briefing and charter orientation. Enjoy lunch while cruising into Osterfjorden. Sunset fjord hike and evening hot tub.
3-DAY CHARTER
Day 2: Mostraumen to Mo
Cruise through Mostraumen toward Mo. In the evening, try SUP in a remote anchorage, followed by dinner aboard.
Day 3: Return to Bergen
Enjoy breakfast aboard as Stella Oceana returns to Bergen. Disembark at 12:00.
4-DAY CHARTER
Day 2: Voss Excursions
Scenic fjord drive to Voss for your choice of one group excursion: e-mountain biking, zip-lining, or a gondola ride and hike. Return to the yacht for dinner and time to unwind.
Day 3: Mostraumen to Mo
Cruise through Mostraumen toward Mo. In the evening, try SUP in a remote anchorage, followed by dinner aboard.
Day 4: Return to Bergen
Enjoy breakfast aboard as Stella Oceana returns to Bergen. Disembark at 12:00.

TRAVEL, PACKING AND PREFERENCES
Getting to Bergen
The charter departs at 12:00. We recommend arriving in Bergen by 11:00 or the day before. A private transfer from Bergen Airport (BGO) or a hotel in Bergen to the yacht is included in both options. The transfer takes approximately 20 minutes. Flights and hotel stays are not included.
Packing for the fjords
Bring warm layers, waterproof outerwear, sturdy shoes with good grip and swimwear if you plan to use the hot tub or SUP. Summer weather in Western Norway can change, so be ready for rain and wind.
Tell us about your group
Before departure, share dietary requirements, allergies and any mobility considerations. On the 4-day charter, choose one Voss excursion in advance. The e-mountain-bike tour has a minimum age of 14; the zip-line has a minimum height of 140 cm.
