What to Expect on Your Midnight Sun Cruise from Tromsø
Experience Tromsø’s fjords during a long Arctic summer evening aboard Stella Oceana. With a maximum of 12 guests, there is room to enjoy the views from the outdoor decks, take photographs and settle into the journey at your own pace.
The Captain chooses the route according to sea and weather conditions. The cruise may head north past Tromsøya and through Kvalsundet toward the open coast. During the midnight sun period, the sun stays above the horizon through the night; later in summer, the evening still brings extended Arctic light. Wildlife such as puffins, white-tailed eagles, seals or dolphins may be seen, but sightings are not guaranteed.

A Personal Welcome
Check in at 18:45 at Stella Oceana in central Tromsø. The crew welcomes you aboard and gives a short safety briefing before departure at 19:00.

Cruise into the Arctic Evening
Enjoy views of Tromsø’s islands, shoreline and surrounding fjords as the Captain selects a route for the day’s conditions. The cruise may head through Kvalsundet toward the open coast.

Summer Light and Wildlife
As the Arctic summer light lingers across the fjords, keep watch from the deck for seabirds, white-tailed eagles, seals and dolphins.

Warm Food and Time to Unwind
Enjoy Norwegian fish soup with bread, hot drinks and cookies. Move between the outdoor decks and heated saloon, and relax with a blanket, book or game.

Add the hot tub and polar plunge when booking. The plunge is supervised by the Captain and is available only when conditions allow. Bring your own swimwear and a bag for wet items.
