Charter Overview
Our Lofoten Yacht Charter is a private 4-day, 3-night journey aboard Stella Oceana, a 34-meter motor-sailer yacht for up to eight overnight guests. Departing from and returning to Svolvær, the route combines a cruise to Skrova and Trollfjord, Henningsvær and a private road excursion to Reine, Hamnøy and Ramberg.
The charter includes deep-sea fishing, a hike on Skrova, SUP in Trollfjord when conditions allow, and a choice between hiking Reinebringen or a guided photo walk. It also includes onboard meals, a local restaurant dinner, a professional crew and use of the yacht’s hot tub. June falls within the brightest midnight sun season. Flights and accommodation before or after the charter are not included. The price is NOK 445,000 for the whole yacht, for up to eight guests. The itinerary is a framework for the charter; the Captain may adjust the order or timing of activities to suit the weather, sea conditions and local arrangements.

Why charter our yacht to explore Lofoten by sea and road?
After years of operating in Lofoten, we believe the islands are best experienced from both sea and shore. From Stella Oceana, cruise into roadless Trollfjord beneath steep cliffs and waterfalls; these waters also connect you to a fishing culture that has shaped life here for centuries. By road, see the islands’ lived-in side: sheep-dotted slopes, small farms, Henningsvær’s shops and galleries, and local food. Reine, Hamnøy and Ramberg Beach bring the dramatic peaks, fishing villages and white sands Lofoten is famous for.
At 34 meters, Stella Oceana gives your group generous deck and saloon space, with the substantial build of an expedition yacht. Her experienced crew knows these waters and balances Lofoten’s celebrated highlights with quieter coastal stretches and anchorages.
Your group has the yacht for all three nights, so you unpack once. The crew looks after every detail in your charter itinerary, and meals are planned around your preferences—you can explore by sea and road without changing hotels or spending every day behind the wheel.
Itinerary
The itinerary is a framework. The Captain may adjust the timing or order of activities to suit the weather, sea conditions, safety and local arrangements.
Day 1: Svolvær, fishing and Skrova
Board Stella Oceana in Svolvær at 10:00 and meet your crew. Head out for a deep-sea fishing trip, then cruise to Skrova. Ashore, choose a hike of up to 3 km, with 360° views across the Lofoten Islands. Return aboard to settle in, enjoy dinner and unwind in the hot tub.
Day 2: Trollfjord and Henningsvær
Cruise through the islands to Trollfjord, where steep peaks and waterfalls frame the narrow entrance. If conditions allow, explore by SUP before continuing to Henningsvær, where Stella Oceana stays for the night.
Day 3: Reine, Hamnøy and Ramberg Beach
A private driver takes you southwest through the islands from Henningsvær. In Reine, choose a challenging hike up Reinebringen or a guided photography walk through Reine, Hamnøy and Å. Stop at Ramberg Beach before returning to Henningsvær for an included five-course dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 4: Henningsvær and return to Svolvær
Enjoy a relaxed morning to explore Henningsvær’s harbor, galleries and shops. Then cruise back to Svolvær, arriving at 18:00.

By yacht, explore the islands and fjords around Skrova, Trollfjord and Henningsvær, where dramatic scenery and coastal life are best seen from the water. A private driver takes you south to Reine, Hamnøy and Ramberg Beach, bringing Lofoten’s celebrated villages and beaches into the same four-day journey. The Captain may adjust the yacht route or activity timing for weather, sea conditions and safety.

The people behind your charter
Your charter is planned directly by World Sea Explorers’ Norwegian founder-led team and led aboard Stella Oceana by Captain Kenneth Tårnes. A Master Mariner and former Royal Norwegian Navy captain, Kenneth brings more than 40 years at sea. Sachi coordinates your charter and onboard hospitality, while a professional crew of two to four looks after the voyage, meals and day-to-day details.

TRAVEL, PACKING AND PREFERENCES
Getting to Svolvær
Board Stella Oceana at Svolvær harbour at 10:00 on Day 1. We recommend arriving in Svolvær the day before. The charter returns at 18:00 on Day 4, so avoid tight onward connections that evening. Flights, accommodation before or after the charter, and transfers to and from the harbour are not included.
Packing for Lofoten
Pack warm layers and waterproof outerwear for changeable conditions on the water. Bring sturdy hiking boots with good grip for Skrova’s rocky trail and Reinebringen’s steep stone steps. Swimwear is useful for the hot tub and SUP; a sleep mask can help with the bright June nights.

Before departure, share dietary requirements, allergies and food preferences so we can plan your onboard meals. Let us know if you prefer the Reinebringen hike or the guided photography walk; Reinebringen is steep, strenuous and crowded, and the walk is a gentler alternative. Please also tell us about mobility considerations and any alcohol you’d like to pre-order; alcohol is not included.
